Why this foundation?

The Lucille Werner Foundation was started by Lucille Werner, known in the Netherlands for hosting several television shows. At the moment, she is the host for the daily television game show Lingo.

Lucille wants us to think differently about people with disabilities. In our society, having a disability is viewed upon negatively. Because of this we push people with disabilities to the background, or they put themselves there. Lucille wants to change this. The first thing she wants to show is that people with disabilities deserve to have a positive image. Secondly, she wants to motivate people with disabilities to claim their rightful place in society by using their own strengths and she wants them to believe in themselves. Her vision stems from her own experience, as she is the only Dutch TV host with a visible physical disability.

The Lucille Werner Foundation was established in order to promote her vision and realise her objectives.
