Lucille Werner receives National Rehabilitation Prize 2007
On October 30, 2007, Lucille Werner was awarded the National Rehabilitation Prize 2007. She was given the prize because she has given her own new dimension to the image of people with disabilities or chronic diseases. This is especially important for a future in which integration will play an increasingly essential role in society.
The National Rehabilitation Prize has been issued by the Rehabilitation Foundation and is awarded each year to a person or organisation that has performed a special effort for people with disabilities and/or chronic diseases. The award consists of a commemorative plaque and a monetary prize of 12.000 euro. The prize was previously awarded to Her Royal Highness Princess Juliana of the Netherlands (1992), Mrs. M.H.M.F. Gardeniers, former Dutch Minister of Health (1993) and Mrs. Erica Terpstra (1999).
